Which services are subject to registration and inspection CQC?

There are a range of services that are subject to registration and inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), these include:

Adult social care services – this includes all services that provide social care support to adults, including those with physical, mental health or learning disabilities. This also includes services provided in people’s homes, as well as in residential and nursing homes.

Childcare services – this includes all services that provide care and support to children, including childcare nurseries, playgroups, out-of-school clubs and nannies.

Independent healthcare services – this includes all services that provide healthcare treatment and support to adults and children, including GP practices, dental practices, pharmacies, optical practices and private hospitals.
