What is well led CQC?

Asked by: 0 views Uncategorized

The well led domain of the CQC’s Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs) is about how an organisation is led. It includes how the organisation’s strategy is developed and translated into operational plans, how risks are managed and how improvement plans are put into place and monitored.

The well led domain also includes how the organisation’s culture and values are promoted and embedded, how staff are supported and developed, and how the organisation learns from mistakes.

Organisations that are well led are more likely to provide high-quality, person-centred care. They are also more likely to be able to respond effectively to changes in their environment and to the needs of the people they support.

The CQC’s inspection teams will use the KLOEs to assess how well an organisation is led. They will look at how the organisation is run, how it makes decisions, and how it monitors and improves the quality of its services.
