If you fail a CQC inspection, you will be issued with a Notice of Intent. This Notice sets out the CQC’s intention to take enforcement action against you. The Notice will give you 28 days to make improvements. If you do not make the required improvements, the CQC will take further action, which could include:
-Issuing a formal warning
-Restricting your registration
-Suspending your registration
-Cancelling your registration
If the CQC takes enforcement action against you, this will be published on their website. This will have a negative impact on your reputation and could lead to a loss of business.
