How to register a Day Care Centre for Elderly or Middle Age group?

1. Before you can register a Day Care Centre you will need to submit an application to your local authority’s Quality Assurance and Improvement Team. The application must include:

– A completed registration form
– A copy of your organisation’s Articles of Association or Memorandum and Articles of Association
– A copy of your organisation’s most recent annual accounts
– A copy of your Childcare Provider Registration Certificate (if you are already registered with Ofsted)

2. Once your application has been received, a member of the Quality Assurance and Improvement Team will contact you to arrange an inspection of your premises.

3. The inspection will assess whether your premises meet the necessary health and safety standards, and whether you have the necessary policies and procedures in place.

4. If your premises are approved, you will be issued with a certificate of registration.

5. You can then start to advertise your service and accept clients.

Seeking clients

There are a number of ways you can go about seeking clients for your Day Care Centre:

– Contact local nursing homes and ask if you can provide respite care for their residents
– Contact local charities that work with older people and ask if they would be willing to promote your service to their clients
