How long can a care home run without a registered manager?

Asked by: 3 views Uncategorized

A care home cannot run without a registered manager. The registered manager is responsible for ensuring that the care home meets all the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (as amended), the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Fundamental Standards, and any other relevant legislation and regulation.

The registered manager is also responsible for the day-to-day management of the care home, including the care and welfare of residents.

If a care home does not have a registered manager, it will be in breach of its regulatory requirements and could be subject to enforcement action by the CQC.
