Does someone with an NVQ 2 still need to do the Care Certificate?

Asked by: 2 views Uncategorized

If you’re starting out in social care, or are new to working in a care role, you’ll need to complete the Care Certificate. This replaces the old ‘Induction Standards for Social Care’.

The Care Certificate sets out the standards of care that workers must provide. It gives you the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality, person-centred care.

If you have already completed your NVQ2 in social care, you may not need to do the Care Certificate. But it’s a good idea to check with your employer, as they may have specific requirements.
